Sóltún

Kolibri designed a new brand in collaboration with Sóltún. In Sóltún's nursing homes, there is a care and warmth that spreads to its voice, color palette, logo and font selection.

The idea behind the symbol is “many hands make light work” - it interprets cooperation in an abstract way. The outer shapes symbolize people holding hands in a circle. The circular form is the core of the matter and they all help each other to solve it.

Sóltún's website is built on a content-first approach and user-centered design, where the goal is to convey the information that relatives of the elderly are seeking in a simple and targeted manner. Kolibri developed a comprehensive content strategy for the website and other content, which is part of Sóltún's new design system.

Axel Sigurðarson took the photographs that greatly characterize the website. The photography style gravitates toward warmth and comfort. The images uniquely capture the atmosphere, activities, and facilities of the homes.
